Evans, Caroline

Caroline Evans is Professor of History and Theory of Fashion at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London). She studied art history at the University of Sussex and taught at several London art schools before joining CSM in 1994. She has contributed to the development of fashion history, publishing 7 books and over 40 academic articles, including The Mechanical Smile: Modernism and the First Fashion Shows in France and America, 1900-1929 (2013).
